Met a guy called Marley when i was travelling in Manchester - he was broken down on the side of a road fixing his motorbike and i offered to help. We started talking and hes a great guy, he told me all about himself - and hes been through shit. The guy is only 17 and has seen more downs than ups, but his attitude is all up. I don't know how he does it.
After fixing the bike I offered him a place to stay and he was ecstatic - we got a few drinks and showed him around, he loved my musical equipment. I asked if he could sing, he said he sings to himself sometimes when riding his bike.
We sat down, made some lyrics and i got him to sing them. The voice of this guy is unreal. I got his number, and the next day he went on his way. 2 weeks later i finished the backing music, which i made around the song. I added some reverb and tone to his voice and its just angelic. Love you bro - if you're ever down in Chatham on your crazy travels, hit me up.
