Alternates between your raw mix and my adjustments every 2 measures!
First:
5%-ish tube saturation to make it move a little.
Mid Side Eq:
Middle:
8k shelf, +8db (ALL THE AIR and crack from the drums can come out)
1.5k, +2.5db (drums needed more mid punch)
1.2k +3db (Lead guitar cut)
70hz, +2db (kick feel)
Sides:
12k shelf, +6db (air around the sides)
1.5k, +3db (guitar punch)
350hz, +1db (warmth in room, toms, guitars)
420hz, +4db (GUITAR TONE becomes a lot bigger)
De-Essing (or Multiband Compressing) -
3-6db GR at 3.4k. Lots of harshness around here, especially when air is brought up. Lots of buildup and competition around here.
1-3db GR at 250hz. Just tamed when the stuff builds up. Keeps things feeling like they're moving organically without having a ton of stagnant "room-tone"-esque buildup.
Compressor:
VCA style compressor, 2:1, 100-125ms attack and instant to 50ms release. Just 1-2db of gain reduction, honestly. This keeps the air breathing with the music and gives it a gentle push. You can feel the movement better, in my opinion.
Great song!
