Music tends to be very precise. Every hit is perfectly on time, every note perfect pitch.
I like bands like Swans that said "fuck you!" to convention of any kind. I also like Arvo Pärt for taking modern conventions to the absolute limit.
I'm not really doing any of that shit, but I am trying to keep things less precise, and more about feel. If everything is equally offtime, but still enough to tell whats going on, it has a very organic feel to it.

Fun fact: electrons are schrodingers cat. They are neither there or not there, they just kind of probably are. Because all subatomic particles are like that, that concrete wall over there is actually a haze of probability.

So, because of this, I'm taking my music to be more organically uneven, yet recognizably concrete as a composition. Here are some drums from what I'm working on.
