This recording took place after opening a new session of a concert flute. The samples are 24-bit at 44.1kHz, the engine is set at 88.2kHz buffer and 16-bit accuracy, with High note resampling.
I played a C4, then an E4. Then I started recording and played a C4 again. This is what happened. The two samples are both non-interpolated aside from TUNING. I have replicated this issue also with instruments that were NOT TUNED, so I do not think Tuning is a variable.
