The second instalment of City Impressions takes place under an hour from the first, in the popular Houndwell Park in Southampton.
I'm sitting on a bench, diagonally across from the newly renovated children's playground. The children are audibly playing. Cyclists as well as pedestrians regularly pass me.
The trees still have most of their leaves as it is very early in autumn. There are a good number of them littering the grass plains between the pathways, however.
Nearby, there is a pedestrian road crossing, I hear the traffic signals beeping, indicating it's the right time to cross the road. A lorry's brakes hiss. Unidentified noise click and clang every now and then.
